Greasy Weasel

DSC_0731.JPG

Our signature shortboard model. Ideal for both punchy beachbreaks and steep points.

This model was designed to be a high performance shortboard to handle good conditions, however it can be tweaked and customized to rider preference/wave necessity as needed. All stock models have an aggressive rocker, a moderate single concave, squash tail, thruster fin configuration, and a relatively full, round rail, allowing them to handle a good range of waves and be pushed hard through turns. Some modifications that can be made are: an increased foiling/thinning of the rail (popular with those looking for a more barrel oriented board), a different tail (to lengthen or shorten the rail, as well as increase/decrease the planing area, both affecting the amount of control in different wave types), and the addition of a step deck (to carry more volume in the same length, but still have a high performance rail and entry; nice to have when you have to make long paddles in relatively flat water like paddling back to the top of a point). To be ridden around your height or maybe an inch shorter. Ride as a thruster for precise handling or as a quad for increased control and hold. Can be given our step up treatment as well.

Designed for waves 3-8 feet. Like all models, it can be customized to rider request. A prime candidate for steep walls and step-up conditions, with some adjustments. Most riders will enjoy one in about their own height to 2 inches longer, for all around performance; 4 inches longer or more for step up conditions.

    Stock Setup:

    • squash tail
    • single concave
    • thruster
